The electrical units of your Dream Maker hot tub are capable of causing shock or electrocution if you don't take the proper safety precautions. Electrocution is death by an electrical shock. It's important to know that wet skin or wet surfaces (such as a hottubs.com deck) can greatly increase the chance of electrocution when electricity is nearby.
Hottubs.com describes a couple signs that someone is experiencing shock: the Dream Maker hot tub users may be experiencing a tingling feeling while in the water, may feel as though your muscles are cramping up, or you may not be able to move at all and feel like something is holding you down in the water. Also hottubs.com recommends to look out for panic or unsettled behavior from people in the Dream Maker hot tub, or even if there are lights in the hot tub that aren't working properly (for example, flickering lights). Hottubs.com explains, if you feel as though you are being shocked in the water try to move away or out of the water in which you are submerged in. Also, if there is any metal around you, do not touch it since this will increase the risk of danger.
If you witness someone you are with experiencing shock while you are not in the Dream Maker spa water turn off all the power. Do not try to save them with the power on or else you will be putting yourself at risk as well. Also, call 911 or yell out for someone else to call 911. Then, if all the power is turned off of the hottubs.com you can attempt to rescue the victim with a fiberglass rescue hook and get the victim out of the Dream Maker hot tub water completely and lay them on the ground. If the victim isn't breathing then perform CPR, and if they are breathing then see if they need any further assistance. A trip to the hospital may be necessary.
